DOGS

Dogs are always furry
And mood-lifters too
Dogs come in all sizes
Some are so HUGE!

Dogs’ enemies are cats
They HATE cats
They think lowly of them
Like “They are such brats”!

No offense to cat-lovers
So many of you
These thoughts are the dogs’
Not my point of view

Anyway back to dogs
They are so nice
They’re usually tame
MOST don’t get in fights

Memories

This pictures represents when I traveled to New Orleans. My great-grandfather used to live there. He came directly from Italy. Wow!

Unique United States

The United States allows as many freedoms as anyone could ever ask for. This is not true for all countries. In Iran, Facebook and Twitter were BANNED! For a few hours, people couldn’t use these sites to express their individuality. That is uncalled for! The officials who called for the action thought they had a good reason. They said people in Iran use too much bad language on these sites. Their standard is that anything that is insulting is “unacceptable.”Even so, I think that because the sites were set up pretty much for the sole use of epublic expression, blocking it because of this is contradictory and a double standard.

Calfornia

In the summer, I am going to California! There’s going to be Sun and friends and family and dead grass and smog and many other wonderful things. Hooray! I can’t wait. My cousins and other relatives live out west, so it’ll be great!

The Last Challenge!

The last challenge is here! It’s been nice to see what people think WORLDWIDE. For the last one, though, These are my thought.
1. How has this challenge improved your communication skills?
This challenge has taught me how to not just type what’s in my head at the time. It’s taught me to process that information, and think through it clearly.
2.How could blogging become an integral part of your daily curriculum?
It might be useful for posting assignments and stuff, but some people wouldn’t be faithful, and they wouldn’t get the assignments, which is on them, but it is a possibility.
3.I would take part in another challenge because it’s fun to respond to other people’s thoughts and then see what they think.

End of the Year

The end of the year is almost here. Just eleven days from summer vacation, and I can hardly wait! Looking back, I see some good and some bad. Here are some of the questions being asked:
Q1. How has this year gone for you?
A. The year has gone great for me. Coming to a new school was hard, but I made a lot of friends. I learned that different schools have different systems. I just had to play that system to get what I wanted. I see no reason to go into detail *suppressed laughter*.
Q2.What were the biggest surprises this year for you?
A. I did not have any big surprises.
Q3. What achievements were you the most proud of?
A. One achievement was not getting all A’s.
Q4. What was the wackiest moment in your year?
A. The wackiest moment of my year was watching so many people laughing hysterically at the dumbest things!
Q5. What wil you miss the most from 7th grade?
A. I will miss all of the easy teachers in 7th grade the most.
Q6.What do you look forward to the most about 8th grade?
A. I look forward to seeing all my friends again when I go to 8th grade.

Reduce, reuse, and recycle

I recycle anything and everything I can. I reduce when I smash the trash down in the gabage can. I reuse when I refill plastic or styrofoam cups. I also recycle by setting aside plastic, paper, styrofoam, and others in a separate pile for the trash company so that they know to take that to a recycling place. Reducing, reusing and recycling are critical to the survival of the planet.

Volunteers

Volunteers are very important to the United States. They provide services for all people. Also, they do not judge. This shows the good in people, and the favors that volunteers do ARE returned. Surprisingly, some people don’t think so. Some people think very lowly of volunteers, and they believe that everyone should be paid for their work. Everyone IS paid for their work, in one way or another.

Matt Louer

Matt Louer is a news reporter that works at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York. He used to work with Katie Couric. She quit, though, a few years ago. Many people wished that she could have stayed longer. Even so, she had her reasons. One main on was money trouble.
Anyway, Louer has worked as a reporter for many years. He will probably continue as one for many more.
